We play games- lots of games. And no I am not super mom on the floor playing games with them 24/7. My goal is for the three of them to learn to play together, with minimal fighting and cheating. What better preparation for the real world? We have made a lot of progress over the years. The loser used to always cry. In fact we had to replace Candyland since it was detroyed during a particularly intense game.
As I am writing this they are all playing Mouse Match before school. No TV in the morning. It puts them in a bad mood and it’s hard for them to shift into the get ready for school mode. I do try to play at least one game with them in the morning because it’s a way for us to connect before they head off for a long, hard day at school.
